Róża Wiktoria is a London-based photographer, artist, and creative director whose practice spans portraiture, fashion, architectural research, and creative direction.

My journey began in portraiture, drawn less to appearance and more to presence, gesture and the subtle ways a body responds to its surroundings.

What I love most about Nikon is that each camera supports a different part of my creative process, from the darkroom to the campaign set.

Róża Wiktoria

Róża Wiktoria's photographic philosophy is built around observation rather than narration. She describes her images as residues of encounters, traces of the negotiations that occur between bodies, objects, architecture, and time, long before conscious thought intervenes. Whether she is photographing a person, an empty chair, or a worn stone surface, she is searching for the evidence of human decisions embedded in material. Her relationship with Nikon began approximately fifteen years ago when she first picked up an analogue Nikon F4, a camera she still shoots and prints from in the darkroom today. When the Nikon Z6II was released, it became her first new Nikon camera and carried her through the formative years of building her fashion photography practice. Today, she shoots on the Nikon Z8 paired with the NIKKOR Z 50mm f/1.2 S and the NIKKOR Z 135mm f/1.8 S Plena for portrait and campaign work, while the Nikon ZR with the NIKKOR Z 35mm f/1.8 S serves as her tool for process documentation and behind-the-scenes filmmaking. Analogue and digital, old and new, working side by side.
